Baden-Württemberg: Connected / bwcon is the top business initiative dedicated to promoting Baden-Württemberg as a key location for innovation and technology. As one of the largest technology networks in Europe, bwcon connects more than 600 businesses and research institutions. Over 5,500 members use the bwcon platform to benefit from systematic networking opportunities. bwcon’s main areas of activity are the creative industries, health care, and information and communication technology (ICT). The network also provides comprehensive advice and assistance to both new and expanding companies. 

bwcon organises a wide range of events in its various areas of activity throughout the year, such as Business Roundtables, business lunches involving high-calibre speakers from industry, seminars, and other regular events, including a roadshow for company founders.

About CyberOne Hightech Award

A particular highlight is the annual call of the CyberOne Hightech Award, the most important business plan competition in Baden-Württemberg. CyberOne has been held annually since 1998 and is organised by Baden-Württemberg: Connected e.V. (bwcon). The competition addresses technology oriented company founders, start-ups and mid-sized growth companies. The submitted business concepts are evaluated with regard to their degree of innovation, competitive advantage and commercialisation. The high-calibre jury consists of experts from business and science. Winners receive both cash and non-cash prizes worth over € 100,000. The competition is supported by corporate sponsors and national funding.

The CyberOne Hightech Award Baden-Württemberg 2015 is again looking for technology-oriented start-ups and growing companies with innovative business concepts. For the 17th time Baden-Württemberg: Connected e.V. calls for proposals for the CyberOne Hightech Award, the central business plan competition for innovative business concepts in Baden-Württemberg.

The CyberOne seeks for entrepreneurs, start-ups and growing companies to present and validate their business concepts and provides a platform to get access to potential investors and business partners. CyberOne Award has two categories.

  1. Start-ups or spin-offs from research institutions not older than three years and maximum revenue of € 1 million.
  2. Mid-sized growth companies pursuing high-risk business field diversification (e.g. product diversification, internationalization, spin-offs) 

Prerequisite for participation ist that the international company has the intention to establish a subsidiary in Baden-Württemberg.
