Project Goal

Europe is known for its world-class research, but regarding the actual implementation of the research results America is a huge step ahead. A number of researchers are supported by the European commission and its FET (Future and emerging technologies) program to develop innovative technologies. However, the majority of the conducted research is not implemented economically and thus do not contribute to the economy nor the society. BRIEFING leverages the transformation of FET results into tangible innovations, which promote the competitiveness and growth of Europe.

By means of numerous tailored services BRIEFING enables researches to put their technologies into practice. Particularly important is the promotion of concepts like spin-of businesses or licensing allowing other possibilities for the market uptake than the development of products and services by the researchers themselves. The main service is an online marketplace that enables the contact between researches and business stakeholders. In addition to that, BRIEFING offers communication and business trainings as well as matchmaking events and tools that facilitate the ideal implementation. In doing so BRIEFING promotes the value creation of FET technologies.
